Boudicca prefers a thunderstorm to clear sky and has been clocked diving at one hundred and forty miles an hour over the Thames. Trusted with priority-red dispatches between Unit Z and the rooftop landing pad above Westminster.

The clever one. Smaller and quieter than her sisters, easy to underestimate until the moment she is not. Catherine has a memory like a steel trap and has memorised every S.E.S landing post from Lisbon to Vladivostok. She refuses to fly in formation and will only accept dispatches sealed with the winged S in red wax.

The aggressive one. A scarred, slate-grey killer with talons the length of a man's thumb and a temperament to match. Zenobia does not carry messages, she clears the sky for the sisters who do. Three handlers have lost fingers, one has lost an eye, and one walked into Unit Z one morning and never walked out. Beneath the temper sits an absolute, unshakeable loyalty to her sisters and to the Service. The scholar. Tawny-gold with ink-black wingtips and an unsettling habit of circling visitors from other agencies until they are escorted out. Alexandria has memorised every classified file she has ever flown and understands almost every language spoken inside Unit Z, from Mandarin to Kernewek. She can identify an intruder from their body movements alone, the wrong gait, the wrong glance, the wrong way of reaching for a door, and she has never once been wrong. She nests in the rafters above the Records Room.

Soul Fire

The American. A bald eagle from the United States, stationed between London and the S.E.S Washington branch, crossing the Atlantic more often than most agents cross the Thames. Soul Fire is the Service's combat specialist, drilled for extraction, escort and search-and-rescue over open water. She has pulled thousands of S.E.S agents out of trouble at sea, from capsized RIBs in the Channel to downed comms posts off the Eastern Seaboard.

Shaheen

Rapid Intercept · UAE S.E.S Station

The falcon. Not an eagle, and the Aviary has never let him forget it, but a peregrine admitted to the Service for one reason: he is the fastest operative in S.E.S history. Dark slate-grey, sharply built, with amber eyes that miss nothing. Shaheen joined out of the UAE station and became legend during a Gulf sandstorm, carrying emergency capsules between isolated S.E.S teams when every radio, network and relay had failed. He runs route reconnaissance, identifies vehicles and faces from extreme altitude, and tracks moving targets across deserts and coastlines. Quiet, highly intelligent, and locked in a constant rivalry with Cleopatra, who insists experience beats speed every time. First to spot danger. First to carry the warning.
